After announcing he was to become dad a few weeks ago, Conor McGregor has now announced he will be taking a lengthy paternity leave to be there for his pregnant partner, Dee Devlin.
Following his historic win over Eddie Alvarez in New York, Conor has now confirmed he will be taking a break from the UFC in the lead up to becoming a father.
“I’m just going to have this baby, take a little bit of time, and see the way I feel after that.”
UFC president, Dana White has now confirmed that Conor will be taking a year away saying:
“His girl gets super stressed out when he fights. He doesn’t want her having any of that stress while she’s pregnant.
“He’s good. He should take time off. It’s good for him and her, and it’s good for the baby.”
