Crafts: DIY Christmas wall-trees
Everyone loves the scent of a real Christmas tree, but it’s not always possible to mount one up in your home. Whether you’re living in an apartment that simply won’t fit a tree, or you just want something a little bit different, the wall-tree is a great idea to get the creative juices flowing.
There are so many fun ideas for great Christmas wall-trees – get the kids together to come up with the best one! In the meantime, here is some inspiration:

Christmas lights
Just because you don’t have an actual tree, doesn’t mean you can’t hang some lights. Arrange lights into the tree shape – green for the outline, and multi-coloured across the inside – and attach them to the wall. Magical!

Festive pin-board
How about a tree that goes up and comes down in a matter of seconds? Take a large pin-board and stick the decorations in or on the cork in the shape of a tree – you can either disassemble it once Christmas is over, or you can simply put it away in storage.

Rolling log tree
This is a really simple craft idea that will let you get back to nature. Purchase some simple wooden sticks and, using twine, arrange them into a Christmas tree shape to attach to the wall, then add your decorations.

Simple foliage
No room? No problem. All you need is some foliage which is readily available, a few large jars, and some baubles. Et voila. And you’ll love the gorgeous Christmas tree smell.

Chalkboard tree
Now this is a thoroughly modern Christmas tree! A large chalkboard is always a great investment for the house, because you can adjust its messages throughout the seasons. Get your little ones to draw and decorate their tree as the board lies flat, then mount it on the wall.
