Is it teething time for your little one?

Just because you have a small home doesn’t mean you can't have a place or an area that you can go to relax, away from the TV and the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Even with little free space, with a little bit of ingenuity, you can create a special area or nook in your home perfect for relaxing.

Use a room divider

Using a room divider, corner off an area of the house that is yours. Even if it is in the sitting room you will still be able to relax and enjoy me-time away from everyone else. Put a chair or even some cushions behind it and get comfy.

Paint the area a different shade

Use colour to differentiate an area in the home that's yours. A subtle grey or even a bright colour works well and simply put your favourite chair there along with plenty of pillows and throws.

Set up a place near the window

The space near or beside the window is often let go to waste, but it makes a really great area for you. You can incorporate the above tips to make it a space you can really call your own.

 Make use of cabinet tops

If you have a low, sturdy cabinet with space going spare on top, simply secure a flat pillow to it and turn it into a chair.
