This year, Dingle will host its ninth annual Food Festival on Friday, 30th September, Saturday, 1st October and Sunday, 2nd October 2016.

Founded in 2007, the festival showcases the quality of locally produced food as well as showing off beautiful Corca Dhuibhne, voted Ireland's Best Foodie Town.

The Dingle Food Festival is a food lover’s dream; the lineup includes cookery demos, workshops, wine tasting, bouncy castles, face painting, food olympics, farm animals and falconry.

The Taste Trail is another highlight, where festival goers can purchase taste tickets and sample local cuisine delights in 80 locations that vary from pubs and galleries to shop and restaurants.

Many of the events are free of charge but some events do have a small cover charge, purely to cover costs.

Any profits generated are donated to charity and this year’s beneficiaries include Action Breast Cancer, Hope Guatemala and Kerry Hospice.

All donations to these very worthy causes are very welcome and there will be donation buckets stationed at various points throughout the festival.
