Dundrum Town Centre announces Santa’s return!

Dundrum Town Centre, Ireland’s premier retail and leisure destination is delighted to announce that Santa is making his highly anticipated return to the Centre this festive season. The announcement comes as Dundrum Town Centre launches its outdoor Christmas experience, which brings shoppers on a magical journey through an enchanted winter forest that tells the tale of ‘Once Upon a Christmas’.

Upon arrival at Town Square, visitors will experience the immersive Christmas pop-up storybook as they take a journey through the enchanted forest. Beneath the twinkling festive lights and The Fairy Bridge will get visitors into the festive mood, while Santa’s Storytime Set at the band stand in Town Square will take centre stage.

Children hoping to get a glimpse at Santa can stop by Town Square between 3pm - 6pm every Thursday to Sunday in the lead up to Christmas. Santa will perform a number of Christmas singalong classics and narrate some traditional Christmas stories for the whole family to enjoy. Children are also invited to submit their own stories by emailing them to storysubmissions@dundrumchristmas.ie.

This is a complimentary Santa experience that does not require tickets, but queue management systems, signage and social distancing measures will be in place to ensure the health and safety of everyone there, while also providing a memorable Santa experience.

Pembroke Square has also been transformed into a spectacular polar bear lake with an amazing series of pop-up polar bears and Christmas trees. Kids will be encouraged to get their photo taken at the life-size Naughty or Nice Book, also situated at the heart of the Pembroke District, Dundrum Town Centre’s dining quarter.

In addition to the incredible outdoor Christmas experience, Dundrum Town Centre welcomes a number of popular Irish brands just in time for the Christmas season. These exciting new tenants include Dubray Books, expert Irish booksellers as well as pop up tenants including The Head Plan, a wellness & personal development brand, Max Benjamin, a fragrance brand revered for bringing a sense of calm and luxury, BiaBelle Beauty, a luxurious Irish make-up and tan brand and Cali Cali, a healthy snack food brand.

In addition to that, Irish kids concept store, Barn is also back at Dundrum Town Centre after a hugely successful year last year. Barn offers a collection of timeless quality Scandinavian-inspired goods for children, featuring much loved collections such as Liewood, Little People Big Dreams, Meri Meri partywear, Banwood, Miniland multi-ethnicity dolls and Scoot & Ride convertible scooters. The Guinness Storehouse pop-up is also back by popular demand, bringing gorgeous, personalised gifts and goodies, perfect for stocking fillers this Christmas.

Dundrum Town Centre is committed to supporting tenants with extending their opening hours for Christmas. The core opening hours are starting at 9am -9pm weekdays, then moving to 9am -10pm from 10th of December. Some tenants will open even later – check www.dundrum.ie for details.
