Dyson unveils their new Onyx Gold colourway, adding to their range of award-winning hair care tools, available in the Dyson Airwrap multi-styler and Dyson Supersonic hair dryer.
Drawing from themes such as luxury, style, and opulence, this new palette sees your Dyson hair care favourites take on a whole new look. Combining science and style, Onyx Gold gives beauty enthusiasts the opportunity to experience the pinnacle of luxury and performance in their haircare routine.
With sleek dark lines, a contrast of striking gold, and a pop of red, Onyx Gold is finished in ultra-matte Onyx and satin finished Gold. This marks another exciting innovation of colour and material by Dyson’s Colour, Materials and Finishes (CMF) designers and engineers.

Dyson Supersonic hair dryer
Engineered for all hair types, the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer is powerful and fast. The tool uses a fast but focused airflow, is engineered for balance in the hand, is quieter than others and intelligently controls the temperature to help protect hair from heat damage.
Unlike traditional hair dryers, the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer measures air temperature 40 times a second to regulate temperature output. Featuring Dyson’s intelligent heat control technology, the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer prevents extreme heat damage, to help protect hair’s shine.

Dyson Airwrap multi-styler
The Dyson Airwrap multi-styler has been re-engineered for faster, easier styling. It also features Dyson’s intelligent heat control technology, allowing users to achieve their desired style at a lower temperature, preventing hair from heat damage.
At the heart of the Dyson Airwrap multi-styler sits the Dyson digital motor, which helps create a phenomenon known as the Coanda effect. The motor generates power to create a high-speed jet of air that flows across the surface of the Dyson Airwrap multi-styler attachments. Due to differences in pressure, the air flow attaches itself to the surface, creating what’s known as the Coanda effect. Taking advantage of this principle, Dyson’s team of aerodynamicists created a way to style hair using this airflow combined with heat. The result, whether choosing to curl, wave, smooth or rough dry hair, creates a natural look with a sleek finish.
Each Dyson Airwrap multi-styler can be customised with a range of attachments to suit the user’s hair type, length, and style.

Onyx Gold
Complementing the new Onyx Gold colourway is an ultra-matte finish which was achieved through precision-applied satin paint topcoats, to offer a smooth soft touch texture and an easier grip for the user.

Material innovation and testing
Materials and finishes, just like the machines themselves, undergo rigorous testing which include rub and scratch resistance tests to ensure the finishes withstand the demands of daily use and meet the high expectations of owners.

Abrasion and scratch tests
Abrasion and scratch tests are carried out to simulate everyday wear and tear. This process evaluates the durability and reliability of our finishes.
Micro-level colour finish
