'Hanami' is an annual event in Japan where friends and family come together for outdoor parties to welcome spring and celebrate nature.

 

Join members of Dublin's Japanese community and Dublin based groups interested in Japanese culture to celebrate a Hanami (Cherry Blossom) Festival at Farmleigh House and Gardens in the Phoenix Park.

 

From 12:00 pm right up until 4:00 pm there will be plenty of activities going on to keep the whole family entertained including music and dance performances, cosplay, calligraphy, origami, martial arts demonstrations and Japanese food stalls.

 

There will also be children's craft workshops, Yo-Yo fishing and other fun activities for little ones. 

 

​This event is supported by Dublin City Council, the Office of Public Works and the Embassy of Japan in Ireland.
