Can’t quite afford a holiday this summer, and still looking for something fun to do? Or are you and your other half planning a weekend away from the kids for some quality time? Well, listen up, because Longitude music festival could be just the event for you.

Indeed, the festival is back with a bang this summer and is set to take place in Dublin’s Marlay Park across the weekend of July 15 – 17.

The first big acts have already been revealed, and it’s safe to say that an epic weekend is in store for all planning on attending the much-loved music extravaganza.

Acclaimed Grammy-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar is set to headline on the Friday night, followed by Major Lazer on the Saturday, and The National at the close of the festival on Sunday night.

With many more acts to be announced, the current line-up is completed by artists including Jamie XX, Father John Misty (whom you may also know from Fleet Foxes) and Chvrches.

Irish music is also well-represented at this year’s concert, with the ever-wonderful Roisín Murphy and All Tvvins set to take the stage.

Day tickets cost €64.50, while a weekend ticket will set you back €159.50. Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday, January 29.
