We were delighted to get the chance to try out the lunch range from Aldi, I made a few different lunches for both kids and added in some additional items from the range, and they really enjoyed them. We now have a list of lunches, and what’s needed for each so we’ll be sticking to this from now on. It makes school mornings run that little bit easier.
The list of lunches we made were:
Lunch no. 1
Ballymore Crust Wholemeal Soft Grain Sub Rolls + Brannan’s Luncheon Roll
Nature’s Pick Carrot Batons with red pepper hummus.
Banana and apple
The Foodie Market Mini Raisins
Water
Lunch no. 2
Ballymore Crust Plain Bagel + Brannan’s Luncheon Roll
Snack bite peppers with red pepper hummus
Simply Fruit apple & grapefruit pot
Water
Lunch no. 3
Ballymore Crust Plain Bagel with red pepper hummus
Nectarine
Duneen Kids Strawberry Irish Yogurt
Sun Quench Orange Super Concentrated Squirty Squash
Lunch no. 4
Ballymore Crust Wholemeal Soft Grain Sub Rolls (plain) + butter
The Foodie Market Mini Raisins
The Juice Company Kids smoothie (Apples and Blackcurrants)
Lunch no. 5
Ballymore Crust Wholemeal Soft Grain Sub Rolls + Brannan’s Luncheon Roll
Pink lady apple and nectarine
The Juice Company Kids smoothie (Apples and Blackcurrants)
Harvest Morn Yogurt & Orange Mini Rice Cakes
I really like the range available at Aldi as it has plenty of choice so you can mix and match. I’d recommend and will buy again.

My daughter highly enjoyed testing all the amazing Aldi lunch range. Some of the products were already firm favourites of hers but now she has a few new things she's requesting be added to next week’s shopping list!
I think Aldi's Back to School Lunch Range definitely has items that everyone's kids will love, even fussy eaters! All the food groups are in there too, protein, fibre, dairy, fruit and vegetables and everything is so fresh. There are certainly enough options to fuel little ones for a busy day at school.
My daughter’s favourites were The Foodie Market mini raisins which come in a pack of 12 handy boxes and she also loved the Duneen Kids Strawberry Irish Yogurts and Juice Company Kids smoothies which both come in various flavours. She also enjoyed the Nature’s Pick Carrot Batons which was great as she normally has to be encouraged to eat vegetables.
The whole range is also such good value. The products provide a nice assortment for lunches for the week and what's left is handy for snacks after school or after activities. The Ballymore Crust Plain Bagels are also great for breakfast before school.
I'll definitely be recommending Aldi's Back to School Lunch Range to all my friends and family and I've discovered a few new items to add to the weekly shop.

Thank you for letting me take part in this trial – we’re big Aldi fans in our house, and with bank to school being such an expensive time, it’s always important to get the best value for everything, especially lunches, but I also want to be sure I’m giving healthy, balanced options.
I thought the Aldi Back to School Healthy Lunch Range made it easy to create healthy and balanced lunches, that my son is happy to eat. They’re also super affordable.
Everything we bought from the range was fresh and of good quality, and I was happy to be able to create whole grain snacks and lean protein options so they were full for the day.
Here’s a few examples of what we put together:
Bagel Lunch Box: Ballymore Crust Plain Bagel sliced and spread with a small amount of butter, and a slice of cheese – we always have the Ardagh Cheese Slices in the fridge, and my son loves it. It’s a plain bagel, but filling and it’s what he likes so I know he’ll eat it. With this I include Nature’s Pick Carrot Batons on the side, and mini peppers along with some hummus to dip - perfect for a healthy addition. For a drink he just had water.
Wholemeal Sub Roll Lunch Box: Ballymore Crust Wholemeal Soft Grain Sub Rolls, filling this time is ham, for a tasty sandwich. He had an apple and a peach for fruit. And he had the Sun Quench Orange Super Concentrated Squirty Squash for a drink. I also popped in the Harvest Morn Yogurt & Orange Mini Rice Cakes to finish.
Snack Attack Lunch Box: Ballymore Crust Wholemeal Soft Grain Sub Rolls filled with Chicken Breast pieces (also from Aldi), for a tasty and protein filled sandwich. I packed four Harvest Morn Yogurt & Orange Mini Rice Cakes, a packet of The Foodie Market Mini Raisins Snacks along with the Nature’s Pick Carrot Batons, and The Juice Company Kids smoothie (apple and blackcurrant). There’s a bit more in the lunch today as there are some after school activities.
Bagel, Yogurt & Fruit Lunch Box: Today’s lunch included the Duneen Kids Strawberry Irish Yogurt, my son told me he likes to have this at his little break. For main lunch he had the Simply Fruit apple & grapefruit pot, a Ballymore Crust Plain Bagel with spreadable cheese (we used the Emporium Cheese Triangles). And for a drink he had the Sun Quench Orange Super Concentrated Squirty Squash.
We had great fun creating these lunches, I got my son involved, which was good too. I would certainly recommend Aldi's Back to School Healthy Lunch Range to other parents, and I will be buying from the range again!
