We're really looking forward to hearing how you got on with the Mums Say Trial for Image Skincare Vital C.

Thanks for asking me to try these two products. I hadn’t used the Image brand before doing this trial. I’m good at looking after my skin and carefully clean it each night. So, trying these new products wasn’t a problem to put into my routine.

I kicked off with the Vital C overnight masque – you don’t need to use much, and I did it twice a week. It’s a lovely product – in the morning my skin looked more, well, glow-ee. I also tried the Vital C Hydrating Waterburst. I really liked this one. I put it on after cleansing my face and my skin felt gorgeous. I had great confidence when I went out wearing it with minimal make up. I’d highly recommend both products.

I’ve read all the bloggers raving about this – but I’m never sure if they’re just being paid to say good things, so it was great to give this a go myself. And I wasn’t disappointed.


The moisturiser water burst does exactly what is says on the tin – skin felt so refreshed. After the mask my skin had a lovely dewy feel to it.

These have now become my products of choice. I will buy again and am already looking at other products in the range to see what else I’m missing out on.

I’ve been a follower of the Skin Nerd forever, so I know of Image and know that vitamin C is considered a wonder product.

I like her advice as she gives it in the best interest of your skin i.e. her priority is you and selling me products (you know that feeling as you walk through a department store where the sales person is always waiting to pounce?!). Let’s just say I was pre-disposed to the brand and products before I started. I also invest quite a bit in my skincare products so am used to understanding product benefits and investing in how I look.

That said, I hadn’t bought them because they didn’t seem expensive enough. My thinking was that if something is expensive then it must have loads of goodies in the ingredients that other products don’t have. How wrong could I have been? I investigated the ingredients in both products and found that what Image includes has greater benefits. For example, the antioxidants, hyaluronic acid, vitamins in the water burst are important to stop aging which I’m paranoid about. The blue green algae extract in the masque is good for reducing wrinkles. I hate growing older and aging – I know it’s a silly thing, but I really do. But I can honestly say that with these two products, I was heartened to see a change in my skin from tired and smoother and more glowing. I will buy again and am heartened at the thought of not growing old quite so quickly.

I’ve been a cheap moisturiser girl for years – I’m embarrassed to say but if I spent more than 20 on a pot of it, I’d be aghast. So when I signed up to this product trial, I was a bit sceptical – how could it be so much better than what I’m already using to justify it being more expensive than my everyday creams? Don’t they all include the same ingredients? And aren’t they all made in similar factories?

I’ve found out that the simple answer is - you get what you pay for and not all creams were created equal. I used the Vital C Hydrating Waterburst as my day time moisturiser each day and then used the overnight masque every 3 days or so. And I genuinely noticed a huge change to the feeling of my skin – to touch, it was softer and to look at, it was so bright. After a week or so, friends noticed too, and asked if I was doing something different. High praise indeed! :0)

Now, pricing. They aren’t my usual price point but now that I’ve accepted they’re not all the same, I can see why you’re paying a bit extra. And you only need to use a very small amount, so they last a long time.

I’m very hit and miss with my skincare routine. I’m good at taking my makeup off but I do nothing else. My skin is ok – normal I’d have thought. I don’t go in the sun and my mum has very few wrinkles so I’m hoping that I’ve inherited those genes. But what I’ve learned after this product test is that with Image Skincare products, your skin can look far better. After using these two products (daily for moisturiser and every three or four days for the masque) my skin has is bright and fresh. When I’m not wearing makeup, my face looks better than it normally does. And my makeup looks better and seems to sit just right.


I now realise that I’ve neglected my skin for years but after nearly 3 months of using these products, my skin looks better than ever before.

Safe to say I’m very happy with the results – lol, and I will continue to use them and would highly recommend them. Especially if you’re not into lots of potions and lotions – these should be the very minimum that you do.

Have already recommended to my sisters.

I’ve often seen this brand in beauty salons but never considered buying it – I didn’t really consider using it as I figured it would be a bit pricey, and as I’m a creature of habit, I’m not likely to just change.


I used the Vital C Water Burst product religiously for a month. I have mixed skin – blemishes around time of the month and a little dry the rest of the time. I noticed a huge change in the dryness and noticed that the few blemishes that I did get cleared up quickly. I understand this to be because of the hyaluronic acid.


I also found that the second month, I got less spots which I’m attributing to the product. I’ve done nothing else differently in the last 15 years – I’m hoping if I continue to use it that my skin will continue to improve.


The masque is a great addition - I’m always on the go and never make time for myself (typical mum I suppose) so doing this trial, meant I had to stop to do the masque which made it so worthwhile. I can say confidently that I would never normally do that.


My skin had a glow after using it, something I don’t normally have. Couldn’t recommend more.
