This Saturday, dust off your runners and head to the Phoenix Park to take part in the Dublin Simon Fun Run in aid of the Dublin Simon Community.
The five mile run is suitable for beginners, to elite and even those with buggies. People in fancy dress are also encouraged!
The run will take place through the serene setting of the Phoenix Park, and every participant will receive their own race number with embedded timing chip.
There will also be plenty of family fun activities happening in the Kids' Zone at the finish line.
There will be arts and crafts and face painting for the kids, as well as their very own race. Every child will receive a goodie bag, medal and much, much more.
The charity are calling on as many people to come out and support the event; sign-ups are increasing daily, but they really want to build on the current number of participants signed up.
It really is a great day out for all the family, and more importantly it helps people experiencing homelessness.
Just last week, the charity's Rough Sleeper team counted 168 people sleeping on our city’s streets.
