The festival "hun" has become synonymous with music culture.
It's a pretty familiar sight - a young woman, wearing tiny shorts, covered in glitter and neon paint, on her way to a music festival.
And while you would not catch us dead in a pair of Daisy Dukes covered in sparkly paint, you will catch us rocking out at a music festival because.....just because we are mums doesn't mean we don't LOVE a good festival. In fact, it makes it all the sweeter that we can brief the grandparents or the minder and head off to relive our youth and remember how fun it is to feel carefree or to have a good uninterrupted bop!
We're here to tell you that festival huns are a thing of the past, and this summer is all about festival MUMS (too right, we might add).
Electric Picnic will be kicking off at the end of the month, and we're dusting off our tents and stealing the children's wellies because this year's lineup is utter PERFECTION.
The babysitter is booked, and we're SO READY to party (like it's 1999).
This year's lineup is so our scene with 90s nostalgia and slammin’ pop tunes galore, thanks to the ultimate Throwback Stage. Yes, there is a THROWBACK STAGE.
We're not even kidding.
We have Electric Ireland to thank for this wonderful nostalgic gift, with 90s chart sensations 5ive AND S Club Party headlining the stage (That's three members of S CLUB 7 for the uninitiated), with a final mystery act to be announced.
And as if the music wasn't enough to get your inner teen screaming, Electric Ireland’s Throwback Stage will be screening some rad, old school movies including Police Academy, Clueless, Dumb and Dumber and Honey I Shrunk The Kids.

Broadcasting legends Don Conroy and Dustin the Turkey will be hosting a Facebook Live game show - the ‘Electric Ireland Throwback Show’ which will air on August 23rd at 8 pm. The show will feature a number of 90s nostalgia related games, so tune in to win tickets. It’s going to be massive!
So prepare to let your hair down, move that kitchen disco to the outdoors, and get ready to let loose, old school style.
