Congratulations are in order for actress Katherine Kelly who has welcomed her second child.
The former Coronation Street star has been enjoying her privacy since leaving the soap and says she and husband, Ryan Clark welcomed their second child three months ago.
“We didn’t go out of our way to keep it a secret but we didn’t announce the pregnancy either,” Katherine told Hello magazine.
The actress admitted it was great to be able to enjoy her pregnancy without the pressure of having to announce the news, saying:
“It is different if you are in something like Corrie, as you can’t keep it quiet. It leaks within a second as paparazzi are always at the gates.
“So it’s been wonderful to have this precious time just for us.”
Katherine decided to have a water birth and on October 21 she gave birth to baby Rose.
The 37-year-old is already mum to two-year-old daughter, Orla and says while her job is important, it’s time with her kids that is the priority.
"I love my job but I do want to spend as much time as I can with Orla and Rose. To have two healthy children is a blessing."
"The joy that they bring, it is like Christmas every day when our two girls open their eyes each morning and look at us."
