Foroige is a youth organisation throughout Ireland that works to help young people around the country grow into their personalities and meet new people. Foroige is an ideal place for people who have difficulty making friends in the mormal circumstances as all of the people there are very welcoming to new members.
Foroige hosts a number of other activities, including Flavours of the World, where club members and leaders of different nationalities prepare their favourite native dishes and share them with other members, and "Tea and Chat" where everyone sits and discusses a particular topic during Cafe.
Cafe is the free time of the youth club where young people can enter and leave whenever they choose to. Cafe opens Wednesday-Friday from 6-9 and on Saturday from 2-5.
Foroige has many leaders and volunteers, who are there to both facilitate the Cafe, and talk to anyone that is being disruptive or is visibly upset. Foroige allow other groups to use space for a certain period of time. These groups include Young Voices, a pseudo-political group that want the voices to be heard, and Operation N.E.R.D, a group for young people aged 14-18 with an interest in Comics, Videogames and other nerdy things.
Foroige Club Members are aged between 12 and 18.
