A four-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital following a road accident in Cork.
It has been reported that the little boy was knocked down near Scoil Aiseirí Chríost on Knockpogue Avenue in Farranree.
The incident took place at around 2.30pm.
It is understood that his injuries are serious.
Gardaí have closed the road and have launched an investigation.
