A four-year-old girl has sadly died after a drowning incident at a villa in Marbella, Spain.
The young girl got into difficulty whilst swimming in a pool on Saturday morning at approximately 10.30 am.
It is understood the Kildare youth was on holidays with her family near the Golden Mile area.
Her death is being treated as a tragic accident.
The Department of Foreign Affairs is aware of the devastating case. They have offered consular assistance to the family of the four-year-old girl.
