Tim Burton has become famous for his off-beat, hugely popular family movie, especially blockbusters like ‘Charlie and The Chocolate Factory’ and ‘Alice in Wonderland’. Now he has returned to the big screen with a heart-warming story about a boy and his bog, “Frankenweenie”.

After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life – with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers, and the entire town all learn that getting a new “leash on life” can be monstrous.

Frankenweenie is a stop-motion animated movie and was filmed in black and white, so it really encapsulates that Halloween feel. It’s also been rendered in 3D to really bring Sparky to life for the kids.
