If you have a beloved dog in your home, or your kiddies are mad about little furry friends, then you cannot miss this event! GAIN Pet Food, in association with Barretstown, are calling all dog owners to help break a world record on April 28th at The National Show Centre, near Dublin Airport. The event will attempt to break the world record for most dogs in fancy dress and national hero Katie Taylor will be judging to find the mutt with the greatest strut. This will be a really fun day out for families and all money raised will go to Barretstown.

The world record attempt is just one of the attractions entertaining visitors and their pooches on the day. There will be prizes for the best dogs in costume, free veterinary and nutritional advice, agility and obedience classes, live entertainment and free goodie bags for you and your pet.

Speaking at the announcement, John Fox, GAIN Pet Food Sales Manager said “we are delighted to be involved with Barretstown in what we believe will be one of the biggest dog events of 2013. We hope all dog lovers will join us to become part of this unique world record event and help raise funds for Barretstown which is such a worthy cause. The current record for the most dogs in costumed attire stands at 1,326 and we hope that through this event Ireland can follow in Katie Taylor’s footsteps and win another world record title.”
