With most airlines now pretty strict on the size of your carry case and what you can put in it, it is important you pack wisely before your journey.

Follow our guide and you’ll be able to fit in all you need and still get through security.

Only pack what you need

Don’t overfill it with items that you don’t need. If you are also checking in a bag then you can put the majority of items in there and just use your carry on case for things you’ll need on the plane.

Obey the 100ml rule

You can only bring liquids that are less than 100ml so if you are bringing anything like this onboard make sure they are no larger.

Don’t go overboard with comforts

Long haul flights will usually provide you with blankets and pillows so don’t pack these in your carryon. Instead leave the space for more important items.

Pack just incase items

Every day flights get delayed and people have to spend a few hours in the airport so make sure you pack a change of underwear, socks, toothbrush and toothpaste.

Put your important documents in an accessible locations

Don’t put your passport or any travel documents in the body of the bag. Instead keep them in a pocket at the front so you can get at them easily enough.
