I don't know about you but my favourite type of present to get is always one that is handmade and a lot of thought and time has gone into. This DIY canvas pressie is a perfect gift for the grandparents this Christmas and sure to make them smile. It's only costs about two euros to make so you could make them for all the family. A creative alternative to a Christmas card too, if you make a larger version of this and use pictures of the whole family.
What you need:
Cheap A4 Canvas
Three Ice Cream Sticks
Photograph
Sparkly Pom Pom
Glue
Red Card
Markers
Paint
Paintbrush
Method:
- Choose a photograph that you would like to use. You might need to rescale the picture and re-print it so that it is the correct size for the canvas
- Paint three ice cream sticks red and leave to dry
- Once Dry glue the three lolly sticks together in a triangle shape and stick on a sparkly pom pom on the top as the bobble of the hat.
- Cut out a triangle shape in the red cardstock to fit the inside of the lolly triangle.
- Glue the triangle to the canvas, along with the picture and the dickie bow.
- Write a message of your choice; decorate with glitter for extra sparkle.
