This St. Patrick's Day, Happenings are unlocking a drink free zone for families, with a feast of Ireland's most exciting cultural acts, speakers, food, crafts and music.

As an alternative to the messy streets, Paddy’s Day Unlocked will transform Meeting House Square into a buzzing ‘beerless’ bunker supplied with new Irish music, mouth-watering local food and inspiring activities for all ages.

Expanding the post-parade celebrations, Paddy’s Day Unlocked, in association with Dublin City Council, will be packed to the brim with local legends that are unlocking Ireland's potential as a vibrant place of creativity and inspiration.

Dublin’s residents and visitors will be treated to music curated by Nialler9, including Ensemble Ériu, Jinx Lennon, Sinéad White and Hare Squead. Delicious food, healthy goodies and inspiring words will be provided by The Happy Pear.

There’ll be exciting workshops for all ages including make your own screen-print bags and t-shirts with Damn-Fine Print, or shamrock seed-bombs with Boltz Sustainability.

Kick starting their year on Paddy’s Day, Happenings will continue where they left off in 2014, animating public space with meaning. Taking advantage of good weather and instant communication, the small but nimble team gather hundreds of happy people at cultural events across Ireland.
