Harry and Meghan will have a private christening for Archie this weekend

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have set a date for their darling boy Archie’s christening and it is going to be quite the exclusive event.

Harry and Meghan’s little boy will be christened on Saturday, July 6 at the Queen’s private chapel in Windsor Castle.

The parents have often stressed how important their son’s privacy is so it’ll come as no surprise to hear that the guest list for Archie’s big day is extremely small.

According to reports, Harry and Meghan have only invited 25 family and friends to attend the ceremony.

Six of these guests will be Archie’s godparents, who have yet to be confirmed, but rumour has it George and Amal Clooney are tipped to be his godparents.

Meghan’s best friend Jessica Mulroney is also expected to be announced as one of Archie’s godmothers.

Meghan’s mum Doria Ragland, Prince Charles, The Duchess of Cornwall and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will also be in attendance.

It was previously announced that Queen Elizabeth will not be attending the celebration as she has other engagements on that day.

Press will not be allowed at Archie’s christening but Harry and Meghan will release photos from their son’s special day afterwards.

Meghan and Harry want to ensure that Archie is raised as a ‘private citizen’ so the christening will be a personal and private family occasion.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are determined to shield their son from the media and the public.
