Helen Flanagan has been praised for breastfeeding her daughter Delilah on a magazine cover. The inspiring mum has refused to let her haters get the better of her and confidently posed with her baby girl.

The actress told Fabulous magazine: “I don’t care if people don’t like seeing me breastfeeding.”

Fans were quick to praise the mum-of-two after she shared a photo of the magazine cover on her Instagram account.

One mum confessed: “I’ve already had people shaking their head at me when I breastfeed my baby girl in public and being a young first-time mum it is upsetting. I never thought people would be like that.”

“You go girl, raise awareness.”

One mum said: “I don't breastfeed my 8 weeks old, but think this is fab! Anyone who wants to should do so with confidence! You are setting a great example.”

Many thanked the Coronation Street actress for being so honest: “Breastfeeding is wonderful and natural and yet myself and all of my breastfeeding friends have suffered verbal abuse at some point for doing it, fully covered up with a muslin and apparently we are still offending people.”

“This is a brilliant thing to do. She has put it on a magazine because she has no need to be ashamed,” another fan said.

Helen is wonderful for beating the stigma surrounding breastfeeding in public. Fair play to the actress for helping normalise it.
