An incentive can often go a long way when it comes to motivating a team, but we think American dad and school baseball coach Rob Querry wins the title for the most unique game-plan.

One game away from winning the season with his team, Heritage High School’s Panthers, the Florida-based coach promised his players the privilege of naming his unborn child with a final victory.

Coach Querry is already father to four-year-old Brady, and he has another baby boy on the way with wife Julia.

Incredibly, The Panthers did score a final victory on Tuesday of this week, and according to Today.com, Coach Querry carried through with his promise.

So, what did the team of young baseball players choose for their coach’s unborn child? Inspired by their two favourite character from the classic and much-loved baseball movie The Sandlot, the team chose Benjamin Smalls Querry.

With the tot due in September, we’re sure all eyes will be on the Querry family after his arrival, just to make sure they stick by their promise.

We actually kind of love the name – and what an epic story to tell the baby when he’s older.
