Having a baby is probably the most exciting and transforming moment of your life. Suddenly your attention has switched to a set of different priorities and needs. But, keep in mind that this new chapter can be stressful by the time you adapt to new daily routines.

Improve your sleeping routine 
Sleep deprivation is a very common phenomenon when you are new at parenting. These changes in your sleeping routine can surely make you vulnerable, nervous and anxious. Try to catch up on missed sleep hours throughout the day when your baby naps. If you find that you can’t sleep during the day, try resting on the sofa with a warm coffee. If you are relaxing even for half an hour, it will help you recharge your batteries.  
 
Talk with your friends and partner
A great tip to cope with stress is to spend a half an hour each day doing something you enjoy. The housework and dishes can wait a little. Use this time to spend with your partner or friend, take a warm bath or read a book. Seeing and talking with other people about new challenges can also help you feel relieved. Be sure to make time for your significant other and talk through your concerns. There is no point in keeping everything bottled up inside because it will cause a lot more trouble. Relaxing is underrated when it comes to your free time. Even though we sometimes take it for granted, it is probably the best way to release stress. If you went through the basic relax techniques at your prenatal classes, keep going with them. Activities like yoga or listening to your favourite music will put a smile on your face.
