With magic and wonder jumping off the pages of children’s books, the International Literature Festival Dublin is delighted to sprinkle a little magical literary dust onto this year’s Children’s Programme.

One of the biggest highlights of the children’s programme this year is author Jacqueline Wilson, creator of beloved children’s novels adored by generations.

In a rare Dublin visit, Jacqueline will meet her legions of fans at preview event in the RDS on Thursday, 5th May where she will talk about some of her most popular characters as well her brand new book Rent-a-Bridesmaid.

Featured authors for talks, workshops and readings include children’s author Shane Hegarty, COSTA award winner Frances Hardinge, and Spanish author and illustrator Marta Altés. Blue Peter award winner Pamela Butchart will be on hand to help children create their own characters.

If there is a little one in your house in need of a prescription for some new books then pay a visit to The Book Doctor from 12pm – 3pm or indulge in the magic of books and storytelling with Monkeyshine Theatre’s The Magic Bookshop.
