The unbelievable moment this mum welcomed her fourth child into the world was captured in a set of truly amazing pictures which show just how powerful mums can be.
Sarah Toyer decided to have a “maternal assisted” C section the moment she realised she was expecting her fourth child.
Describing the day of her son’s birth, Sarah told Birth Without Fear that she was “determined” to go through with it despite the obstacles.
“I was standing there next to the surgeon, scrubbing in just as she was. Maybe a half hour later I was lying on the operating table watching my son’s head being pulled from my womb.”
The images shared on the Facebook page have received over 15,000 reactions since they were posted last week.
“It was the most incredible thing I have ever done,” Sarah said as she described the moment she “reached down and put my hands under his arms and lifted him out of my own body”.
Many mums have since commented saying they have been inspired to do this with their next child with one user commenting: “Oh my God, I want to do this!”
