Young theatre audiences and their families can now enjoy Shakespeare in a fun and imaginative way at the Abbey Theatre. UK writer and actor Tim Crouch will perform two one-man shows on the Peacock stage – I, Peaseblossom and I, Malvolio. Both performances introduce two of Shakespeare’s better known plays through lesser known characters with fantastic theatricality.

Time will perform both of his shows for families from Tuesday, 5th March for two weeks. This is part of the Abbey Theatre’s Shakespeare Season. I, Peaseblossom is suitable for children 6+ and their parents and I, Malvolio is for tweens upwards. Tim’s theatrical style is interactive, drawing audiences into the show so they become active participants in the creation of characters.

This is a really fun and unique way to introduce children to Shakespeare, so as they grow older, they will find his works more enjoyable.

Performance times vary (12pm, 2pm, 4pm and 7pm) and tickets are €15-€20 with discounts for schools and families. School and family workshops are also available.
