Ireland’s biggest and best-loved free family festival, the Laya Healthcare Street Performance World Championship, has undergone a full makeover and rebrand.

With over 300,000 attending last years’ events, this year’s Laya Healthcare’s City Spectacular is set to be the highlight of the summer transforming parks in Dublin and Cork with free family festivals.

New editions include the ‘ESB Spark Your imagination’ area which is brain food for your little ones with educational workshops galore. This is also one for the big kids too who will get to pretend to be like Einstein.

The popular Kids Court is back again this year, with Ray D’Arcy acting as the judge with his wheel of misfortune for all those naughty parents whose children are ready for some pay back. Custard pies to the face, super soakage by firing squad or getting dad to dress up in a frilly dress and wig will be top of the bill for mischievous parents who have been handing out tall orders.

There’s something for everyone throughout the festival with a line up including 6 time Guinness World Record Holding back flipping, Sword Swallowing Aeriel Manx, YouTube loop artist sensation Mr.Woodnote, strait-jacket escapologist Rob Roy Collins and last year’s world champions Cork acrobatic duo Lords of Strut.

There will also be the festivals first ever 'Petting Zoo’ on Merrion Square, where little ones you can meet Flopsy and Mopsy the bouncy little bunnies along with their friend Sheeba the pony in a fun, family orientated interactive zone  for all ages.

Events will take place on Dublin’s Merrion Square 11th – 13th July and Cork’s Fitzgerald Park 19th – 20th July. There will also be a citywide program of creative events including music concerts, walking tours and art exhibitions taking place in Dublin City from 11th – 27th July.
