There’s lovely baby news this morning as it is revealed that an Irish mum has given birth to quadruplets.

Grace and James Slattery had been trying for a baby in recent years and sadly suffered four miscarriages before she became pregnant with the quads, without IVF.

Though Grace had been scheduled to go for a C-section on Tuesday, she went into labour naturally.

The four babies were welcomed into the world early yesterday morning after a Garda escort brought them from their home in Limerick to the Rotunda Hospital in Dublin as there are so few occurrences of quadruplet births in the country.

The happy family welcomes three girls, Amelia Helen, Mollie Rose and Lily Grace May, along with one boy, Lucas James.

Their mum took to her Facebook  to announce her little ones safe arrival, writing: “All came out kicking and screaming and all are doing well at the moment....Thanks for all yer good wishes and keep praying for babies.”

Congratulations to the happy family on this incredible news.
