About
Dunfanaghy is on the shores of Sheephaven Bay in North Donegal and is an ideal location for the tourist and for people interested in fishing. The village has unspoiled surroundings and other attractions which make it a worthwhile resort for the family. There is a beach for surfing and sail boarding and an 18 hole golf course. In the village there are craft, fashion shops and souvenir shops and a new Heritage Centre has been opened, depicting the period of the Potato Famine in Donegal. Ards Forest Park and Glenveagh National Park are all within easy reach. The Dunfanaghy Angling Association has worked to provide top quality wild brown trout fishing. Spawning facilities have been improved to ensure a good natural supply of wild trout. The area has excellent registered accommodation including hotels, bed and breakfasts and self catering accommodation.
