The River Suck flows along the natural border between counties Galway and Roscommon. The Suck River Valley is a 5 mile wide corridor each side of the River Suck, and boasts a population of approximately 8,000. The Suck Valley Tourism Group was set up in 1991, and promotes tourist attractions in the region. Currently the Co-op has 41 shareholders representing farming, business, accommodation providers and community groups within the region.
