Tramore Beach

Tramore, which means ‘Big Strand’ is a very picturesque location with its 5km sandy beach that is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean. There is a stunning panorama view of Tramore Bay that is broken by the peninsula. Tramore town itself is built on the hills that rise up from the beach. This is a very popular location for angling as there are plenty of fish in the area including pollock, dogfish, coalfish and whiting. There is also lots of water sports in the area including sailing lessons and sea kayaking. Swimming and surfing is also popular.
