Live Animal Crib At The Mansion House

The Mansion House has been the official residence of the Lord Mayor of Dublin since 1715. It has witnessed many historic events including the formation of the new Irish State and the signing of the Anglo-Irish Treaty. It has welcomed many international leaders, sporting heroes, stars of stage and screen and music.

 

It has also been a family home for 300 years and has celebrated normal family occasions. It has been the centre of Dublin life for 300 years and is much loved by Dubliners who have danced, celebrated sporting victories, completed exams and celebrated Christmas at the Live Animal Crib.

The annual live animal crib returns to the Mansion House this December. This year marks the 20th anniversary of this traditional nativity scene. The IFA Live Animal Crib has been a joint venture between Dublin City Council and the Irish Farmers' Association since 1995.

 

Although admission is free the public may give a contribution.
