Downpatrick Racecourse

At Downpatrick they have probably one of the strongest betting rings in Ireland. All the top Irish bookmakers are represented in the ring. Toals bookmaking provide a betting shop facility situated in the main grandstand. Down Patrick has three bars. On site catering is provided by Justine’s and is available at the following locations. Main Grandstand – Soup, stew, bangers and mash, sandwiches, tea, coffee and light refreshments. Bistro – Soup, filled baguettes, sandwiches, deserts, tea, coffee and soft drinks. Downpatrick is possibly the friendliest course in Ireland with a strong local following. It has a supporters club which was formed in the early ‘70s and has raised substantial sums since its inception. Notably, Downpatrick is one of the few racecourse where all races are sponsored.
