Family Carnival to celebrate Africa Day

If you are looking for something to do this Saturday, why not head along to Limerick where there will be a family-friendly carnival to celebrate Africa Day.

 

From 12pm – 6pm, Limerick’s City Hall will be holding a free family-friendly carnival that will feature African and Irish music and culture.

 

Highlights for the day include performances by Irish band Kila, the African Gospel Choir, dance workshops, jugglers, clowns, entertainers and much more.

 

The Lace Soukous Band and Limerick’s own Random Acts of Kindness will also be playing on the day.

 

To get the day started on the right foot, there will be an explosion of music from Music Generation’s Band Explosion project which features seven teenage bands.
