National Ploughing Championship 2014

The National Ploughing Championship started back in 1931 and has gone on to become Europe’s largest outdoor exhibition and agricultural trade show. Each year it sees around 200,000 visitors and with 1,400 exhibitors it’s not surprising. 

 

Starting at 8am, this year the ploughing championship will take place from Tuesday, 23^rd – Thursday, 25^th September at Stradbally. Highlights, apart from the National Ploughing Competitions, include a Vintage exhibition, live robotic milking, pony games, sheep shearing, brown bread baking competitions, fashion show and sheep dog trials.

 

Tickets start from €20 for a standard adult and Under 12s go free if accompanied by an adult.
