Scoil Cheoil an Earraigh

2014 is the tenth year of the Scoil Cheoil an Earraigh, a five day celebration of Irish music that pays particular attention to the music and style of the Corca Dhuibhne peninsula in Co. Kerry.

 

The school holds about 25 classes in a wide range of instruments as well as sean-nos singing and dancing workshops and are open to everyone from ten years old.

 

Over the five days, there will be concerts, singers’ nights, recitals, guided walks and much more. There will also be performances from musicians including Paddy Cronin, Leonard Barry, Emer Mayock and many more.

 

The Scoil Cheoil prides itself on being able to give people the opportunity to embrace the local culture and experience the Irish language.
