About

Ireland’s oldest fair, the Puck Fair, takes place on the 10th, 11th and 12th August 2014 in Killorglin, Co. Kerry.

This family-fun festival is the only one in Ireland where a goat is crowned King of the town for three days.

There are loads to keep the whole family entertained including face painting, street performers, magic shows, puppet shows and workshops. What’s even better  - they are all free of charge which means kids can have fun while mum relaxes knowing she isn’t going to spend a fortune.

The fair is over 400 years old and is host to a multitude of competitions including Bonny Baby, Fancy Dress and a Pet Show.

There is even a fun fair with old favourites including Bumper Cars and other traditional fair rides.

Starting off the festival on Sunday, 10th of August is the Coronation Parade which will see colourful floats and entertainers and marching bands.

This is sure to be three days of fun and frolics, so don’t forget to mark it in your diary.
