This weekend, why not introduce your little one to the power of music at the National Concert Hall. The 19th Festival of Youth Orchestras will be taking place on Saturday, 8th February and will see more than 500 young musicians performing. Performances will include original works, classical repertoire, shows, films and pop music including pieces by Mozart, Beethoven, Bizet, Bartok, Scott Joplin's 'The Entertainer', Corelli's 'Christmas Concerto' and arrangements of Elbow, Cole Porter and more.
The first concert takes place at 3pm and features Ceol na Mara Chamber Orchestra, St Agnes / Scoil Colm and St Ultan's Primary School Orchestras, Music Matters Orchestra and County Wexford Youth Orchestra. The second performance will start at 8pm and features East Meets West Orchestra and Tipperary Millennium Orchestra.
