About

Throughout the month of August, Collins Barracks will be hosting a fun family area whereby kids can test their design skills.

The Decorative Arts and History museum  will be hosting an exhibition of the works of Eileen Gray who’s most famous chair was inspired by the letter ‘S’.

The designer was viewed as being the most influential of the 20th Century and the exhibition includes family photos, her tools and some of her works.

The Activity Area incorpoates this and kids will be able to show off their design skills. It is a drop-in facility and doesn’t require you to book in advance.

The museum is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am – 5pm and Sunday 2pm – 5pm. Admission is free and it would be a perfect day out if the weather is particularly bad.
