This pleasant moorland course offers something for every golfer. The Par 4's are made up of wide, open fairways with few bunkers to present any danger. The Par 3's are a little more challenging and pleasant to play. The Par 5 Second however is considered one of the best Par 5's in all of Ireland. A dog leg left, with OOB at 220yd straight ahead from the tee and a stream to carry as the hole bends left, only the best will reach the green in two and making it in regulation is a challenge in itself. This a good test of golf no matter the standard of the player. Its a long course so a good long game helps you score but at the same time a good long game with a poor short game is like having a good cake with no icing. Keeping the ball in play is key as is accurate shots and over all percentage play will bring rewards. Above all, as always, playing well from 100 yards in will keep the big numbers off the card and bring you maximum enjoyment when mulling over your round over a cool pint of Guinness.
