Clonmore Castle

Little is known about this castle but it is likely that it was built in the late 13th century. The castle is nearly square in plan, with rectangular towers. Remains of the main building can be seen on the eastern side of the courtyard. Ownership of the Castle changed throughout the years from Sir Anthony de Lucy in 1332 to the Earl of Ormond in 1537 and the Howard family in 1776.
