Dalkey Castle and Heritage Centre

Looking for something a bit different to do this weekend? Well, why not head along to Dalkey Castle where you and your family will be immersed in history.

 

Kids will love exploring the contrast between 15^th century living and 21^st century technology.

 

Indulge in some quiet time in the tranquil early Christian Church and Graveyard or climb the battlements for panoramic views of the sea and mountains.

 

Book-loving children will really enjoy the writers’ gallery where they will be able to explore Dalkey’s literary and creative connections from Bono to Joyce and beyond.

 

History also comes alive at the heritage centre. The Living History tour takes place every half hour where the actors will stick to their part no matter what.

 

The Castle is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10:00am - 5:00pm. It is also open on Saturday and Sunday 11:00am to 5:00pm.
