Saint Cooeys Wells

Saint Cooeys Wells were founded in the 7th century by Saint Cowey. These wells were are said to be a drinking well, wishing well and eye well and they are said to have healing powers and are still visited by pilgrims. There is also a small church and a modern alter at the same location. Not far from the church is a flat rock with indentations. According to legend these are the marks of Saint Cowey’s hands and feet from when he was praying.
