About
Ashtown Castle was discovered in 1978 within the structures of Ashtown Lodge which had to be demolished due to dry rot. The building was then restored and can be dated back to the 16th century. The Phoenix Park Visitor Centre is next to the castle where you can get all the information you need on the castle.
