About
This statue is situated near Trinity College at the end of Grafton Street and is dedicated to the famous fishmonger who sold her ‘wares’ in Dublin city in the 1600’s. The statue was unveiled by then Lord Mayor of Dublin, Alderman Ben Briscoe during the 1988 Dublin Millennium celebrations, declaring June 13 as Molly Malone Day.
