Rathfarnham Castle

This castle is thought to have been built around 1583 and was built by Adam Loftus who was the Archbishop of Dublin and Lord Chancellor of Ireland. The interior was designed by Sir William Chambers and James Stewart in the 18th century. The castle is open to visitors from the end of May to the end of October daily from 9.30 to 5.30pm. There are tearooms, toilets and a car park on site and the tearooms are open to visitors all year round.
