Gallarus Castle and Oratory

This castle dates back to the 15th century and was built by the Fitzgerald family. This is a four storey tower with a vaulted ceiling on the top floor. The interior is now fully accessible after conservation work took place in recent years. Gallarus Oratory is a famous landmark on the Dingle Peninsula and is close to Gallarus Castle. The Oratory is stone built and the grounds are maintained by the OPW.
