Ross Castle

Ross Castle is located on the stunning site close to Killarney town. The castle is situated right on the shore of a lake. It was built in the 15th century and contains square bartizans and a thick end wall with a tier of chambers and a winding stairs. The castle is open to visitors from May to September daily and access is by tour only. There are often exhibitions held at the castle and there is a wonderful collection of old furniture housed inside.
